Kaycee has been with the Lonestar team since the 2018, and made the move from employee to owner in the summer of 2020. A Mason native, she loves being involved in her hometown and is looking forward to raising her family here in the beautiful Hill Country!

So here’s my background to give all you listeners a heads up on who you are unfortunately having to listen to, I was born in Long beach CA (even though I never claim it) I moved around alot in my younger years due to my father’s line of work, until my parents got divorced then my family moved to Murray Utah (this is what I claim) after graduating high school in Utah I moved in with my mother and the rest of my family who of the time period was living in California after a little over a year of working various security guard jobs I decided like my older brother to join the US Army but unlike my older brother I decided to join the enlisted side of the house, he went officer. I went to Fort Sill OK for basic and job training as a forward observer to explain that job using a map and radio I called in artillery strikes on enemy targets. After my training in Fort Sill I proceeded to my unit 4th infantry division in Fort Hood, TX. I spent about three months in the barracks room to try and save money but 3 months was about all I could take so I approached my roommate about going out to do something and he set me up with my now wife Kaycee we dated for about another 3 months but because I would be deploying soon we went ahead and got married in 2007 shortly after that we got pregnant with our first child who was born 3 months into my first deployment (Iraq) would be born. I got to come home for two weeks in time to be there for the birth. After my time in Iraq my unit moved to Fort Carson Colorado where during a strong snow storm my soon to be daughter decided it was time to be born, I was in the middle of training in the field so it was a mad scramble to get me back in time for the birth. In 2010 I deployed to Afghanistan spent 10 months there and came home, I reenlisted to return to Fort Hood texas where my last child was born but due to an injury from my Afghanistan tour the army decided in 2014 I could no longer perform my duties as a forward observer so the army gave me the new job of ammunition accounting and logistics. In 2015 I decided I wanted to try new things and spend more time with my family so I switched from active duty to reserves and have been stationed at Fort Douglas Utah ever since. I attended college at Weber state university from 2016-2018 and decided we wanted to move back to Mason to be closer to our family. After my wife was working at the radio station for about a year she introduced me to Uncle Charley who decided to recruit me in to be a morning show co host for about six months till I found other work as a prison transport supervisor and then after about 8 months I started surveying with Llano Surveying and mapping till my wife informed me we are buying the radio station and so here I am now hosting JIVE talk with my fellow host Vicki, I also am the station’s Advertising sales manager.

Jarrod Johnson

Jarrod is the Program Director for Lonestar 102.5 since April of 2021. He is also the host of Between The Lines, Tuesdays from 7-9 PM!

Since his first publishing deal in 1996 at the age of 20 Jarrod has been a constant presence in the music and songwriting business. Writing songs with hit makers and legends such as Randy Travis, Michael White, Roger Springer and Ron Avis among others.


As a well respected musician and artist he has shared the studio with stars and Musician Hall of Famers like Glen Duncan, Doug Jornigan, Deryl Dodd and Grammy winning producer and dobro player Randy Kohrs


He has entertained people all around the country sharing the stage with artists and songwriters such as Sonny Curtis, Deryl Dodd, Mike McClure, Tracy Byrd, Toby Keith, Diamond Rio and many more.


He has also recently enjoyed radio and chart success on Texas/Red Dirt radio with songs including She Calls Me Daddy, Weak Days, Empty Pillow (feat. Deryl Dodd) and Love Around Here just to name a few.
